Treworra Barton

Treworra Barton provides the perfect setting for our workshops, residential weekends and one-to-one therapies. It is twenty acres of simple beauty that embraces you with its tranquillity and calm. There is a rustic charm here that slows you down and calms your mind. As you wander around, you find that Treworra offers different aspects and settings for you to chance upon and connect with. The secret garden offers a meditative stillness, while the Mowhay with its ancient beech trees is an inspiring location for outdoor yoga. In the sprawl of fields beyond, you find sheep, goats, ponies, donkeys pigs and llamas gently grazing on the lush grass. The trees provide the dramatic backdrop to each view and Treworra seems to have its own light that plays through the tree branches.

We work with the land here and honour its beauty. The soil is rich and we are certain the new vegetable garden will flourish.  Our residential weekends already have a reputation for the glorious, wholesome food we offer and, by next year, we hope to be serving some of our own vegetables from the garden and from our magic poly tunnel which still has an abundance of rich, red tomatoes in November.

Water nurtures all the growth here and Treworra boasts its own water source. Our tap water tastes fresh and sweet and highlights the natural essence you will find here.

We’ve always felt that bees should have a home at Treworra and so, next spring, we’ll be setting up our hives near the vegetable garden in the hay field. It would be wonderful if we could offer our own honey in due course, while providing our bees with the most amazing variety of plants and flowers to gather nectar from.

The holiday cottages that make up Treworra Barton naturally nestle into the surroundings. We use these charming cottages for our residential weekends and each one is a comfortable and peaceful haven. The Stables is the largest cottage and the lounge area is transformed into our meditation space, while the Dairy Hall is a multi-purpose space that becomes a warm and friendly refectory where participants can eat, relax and chat in comfort around the wood-burning stove.

For workshops, the Dairy Hall, with its oak floor and and rustic beamed ceiling, is the perfect setting for yoga and dance. People often comment on its energy and atmosphere.
